STEP 14 – HEAD TENSION

broken image

HEAD TENSION is another physical sign of severe low mood when coupled with other noticeable physical or emotional symptoms. This could be due to a variety of factors such as dehydration, poor diet, medication, drug or alcohol abuse, or brain changes, among others.

Mood and soreness are regulated by the same part of the brain and the loss of neurotransmitters such as serotonin can compound head tension. People who suffer with chronic head tension often report that anxious feelings can make their head tension worse.

When our body is not relaxed, as is the case when we are experiencing tension, we can aggravate head tension by neck, shoulder, and upper back muscular tension.

Essential Oils that help to relieve tension include:

• PAST TENSE Tension Blend

• Frankincense

• Copaiba

• Peppermint

• Lavender

• ICE BLUE Soothing Blend

• Spearmint

• LAVENDER PEACE Restful Blend
