STEP 8 – ONGOING FATIGUE

Feeling tired, exhausted, and FATIGUED all the time can be a common experience in those with persistent low mood. Regular everyday tasks and activities can be overwhelmingly hard to finish—or even start.

People report that a lack of energy and stamina means that it can be difficult to get out of bed and complete mundane tasks such as washing dishes or doing laundry.

Fatigue and apathy can go hand in hand: lack of energy coupled with an absence of motivation can increase feelings of indifference towards oneself or others.

Fatigue has mental consequences as well as physical ones. Being inactive and slow to move can have a physical effect on other areas, such as sleep, diet, and muscle health.

Mentally, feeling exhausted can compound negative feelings of self-worth and can increase loneliness and isolation as people struggle to get out and interact with their friends.

Outside help may be needed but eating a nutrient-rich diet can also help: protein-rich foods, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and ensuring a good water intake. And it’s very important to reduce sugar and processed foods which can slow the digestion and compound tiredness.

Essential Oils that have energizing and invigorating properties (citrus and mint oils, for example) can boost energy levels and motivation:

Containing Essential Oils of Wild Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Bergamot, Tangerine, Clementine, and Vanilla Bean Absolute, this blend can address feelings of lethargy, discouragement, and despondency and help one to feel more invigorated, motivated, and confident.

PRACTICAL USES

• Diffuse to help lift mood.

• Put one drop on your wrist and rub both wrists together for a great everyday perfume.

• Add two to three drops to dryer sheets to add a refreshing aroma to your laundry.

• Combine with Fractionated Coconut Oil for a cheerful hand massage.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

DIFFUSION: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.

TOPICAL USE: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize any skin sensitivity.

CAUTIONS

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying product.

FIGHT THE FATIGUE ROLLER BOTTLE RECIPE

• 6 drops Spearmint Essential Oil

• 8 drops Wild Orange Essential Oil

• 4 drops Patchouli Essential Oil

Combine Essential Oils in a 10ml roller bottle and top up with Fractionated Coconut Oil. Apply topically on wrists, back of neck, and behind ears throughout the day to boost energy levels. Blend can also be applied to lava jewelry.

Diffuse MOTIVATE Encouraging Blend and Grapefruit Essential Oil to uplift mood and reduce tiredness.
